Programming with HTML 5

HTML or Hypertext Markup Language is one of the widely used web developing language. It is widely used for structuring and presenting content on the web pages and is a core technology of the internet. In this post, we are briefing about the fifth revision of HTML, i.e. HTML 5, which is a candidate recommendation of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).  The new additions made in this revision are to help Web application developers deal with multimedia tools and advanced JavaScript tools.

There are new elements introduced based on researches into prevailing authoring practices, and special attention has been given to defining clear conformance criteria for user agents in an effort to improve interoperability. Other additions to mention about are the full CSS3 support, the support for audio/video, 2D & 3D graphics, local storage, local SQL databases, etc. The HTML 5 was particularly designed to deliver rich content without the need for additional plugins. It provides support for everything from animation to graphics, music to movies, and can also be used to build complicated web applications. HTML5 is also cross-platform. It is designed to work whether you are using a PC, or a Tablet, a Smartphone, or a Smart TV.
